Image Union is longest-running independent film and video showcase in America. Since 1978, this Emmy Award-winning series has featured an eclectic mix of short films and tapes - everything from animation and documentaries to narratives and experimental films. Some of the work is by promising new filmmakers, some by established award-winning artists.

The good folks over at Image Union will be jurying the fest the night of the event, if your film is screeing on May 7th you have a chance to be awarded a spot on the show running on WTTW channel 11 here in Chicago.

We're not sure but there's a rumor they may pick more than one short to run on their program. Lets hope your short plays well to the crowd on April 9th and especially to the fine people at Image Union.

The Image Union award will be announced shortly before The Mystechs take the stage.
