Requiem for a Ring

When Howard Shore remixed the theme from Requiem for a Dream for the Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers trailer, he linked the two movies sonically. The movie links them literally. Gandalf pops pills and runs amuck in downtown Chicago. Frodo and Sam go "ass to ass" to get more coke. Legolas, Gimli and Aragorn go on a heroin road trip. If you listen closely, you can almost hear Tolkien turning over in his grave.
