Rick was born in Guadalajara, Mexico and was brought to the states by his parents to pursue better opportunities.

Always a dreamer Rick never really knew what he wanted to do after school was over but he knew whatever it was it had to challange him creatively.

Eventually Rick met that challange when he and Maia Films partner Ti Hays decided to finally stop talking about making movies and just start making them. Together they produced, shot, edited, and screened "The Promise of You"

Fully content at being a part of a team Rick always seems to find himself leading the way but he knows nothing gets done without that team behind him. In the end the challenge is to make sure his team knows they are all fully appreciated, and hopefully the projects that get made not talked about reflect that appreciation.
